  1. PARTICIPATION - Participation is open to anglers currently registered for the Toyota Bonus Bucks Program. At least one member of the registered team must be a current, eligible Toyota Bonus Bucks Program participant and team boat must be towed to event with eligible Toyota tow vehicle. (Eligible Toyota tow-vehicle: 2019 or newer Toyota Tundra, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Sequoia, or Toyota 4Runner). Any team that attends the tournament towing their boat with an ineligible tow-vehicle, and not the Toyota Bonus Bucks participant’s tow-vehicle, will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. Any person entering this tournament under the age of majority, must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the entry form. All contestants must have in their possession a valid fishing license.
  2. ELIGIBILITY - In order to be eligible to participate in the Toyota Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament, one member of the registered team must be a current, eligible Toyota Bonus Bucks Program member and team boat must be towed to event with the Toyota Bonus Bucks participant’s eligible Toyota tow vehicle. (2019 or newer Toyota Tundra, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Sequoia, or Toyota 4Runner). Amateur teams only—Bassmaster Elite, Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour and Major League Fishing Pro Circuit Pros are not eligible to participate in the Toyota Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament. In addition, participants must complete the Tournament Registration Form (either online or pdf version of the form) and submit to the Toyota Bonus Bucks Program Office via email or U.S. mail. (Fax submissions aren’t allowed). The following additional forms are also required to be completed in order to be eligible to compete in the 2023 Toyota Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament: 1) Completed event waivers forms for both team members (BASS Event Waiver, Toyota Bonus Bucks Event Waiver, Publicity Waiver); 2) Completed W-9 Forms for both team members; 3) A copy of the Toyota Bonus Bucks participant’s current truck registration and / or title. All forms must be completed and submitted to the Toyota Bonus Bucks Program Office via email or U.S. mail, no later than 10/13/23 by each tournament participant in order to be eligible to participate in the Toyota Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament.   3. PRETOURNAMENT PRACTICE - There will be no official practice period or off-limits period prior to the tournament.
  4. REGISTRATION AND PRETOURNAMENT MEETING - Team must register in person at the designated site during the official registration hours and attend tournament meeting.
  5. SAFETY - Each contestant is required to wear a fastened U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device anytime the combustion engine is in operation and in gear. All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut-off device that must be securely attached to the driver’s body whenever the combustion engine is in operation and in gear.
  6. SPORTSMANSHIP - All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation. Consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages of any kind during the tournament is prohibited.
  7. BOAT REGULATIONS - All boats must be equipped with wheel steering; no other steering device will be permitted. Boats must contain properly aerated live well space to maintain alive a limit catch of bass. All boats must be inspected before take-off.
  8. PERMITTED FISHING METHODS - All bass must be caught alive in a conventional sporting manner. Only artificial lures may be used, with the exception of pork trailers. Trolling as a method of fishing is prohibited.
  9. PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS - Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters available to the public and accessible by boat, except areas designated as “off limits.” NO LOCKING. All angling must be conducted from the boat. Contestants must leave and return to the official checkpoint by boat. Teams that elect to return to the official check-in by any other means than cited above will forfeit their day’s catch to that point in time of the tournament day. Any team returning to the check-in point will be eligible to restart and resume competition under the supervision of the tournament director if time allows.
  10. OFF LIMITS - Any areas designated as ”off limits’ or “no fishing” by state, local, or federal officials, or the live bass release area established by B.A.S.S.
  11. OFFICIAL CHECKPOINTS - There will be only one official checkpoint for boat check in the morning and one official check-in point in the afternoon. Failure to go through boat check and check-out in the morning or failure to check-in at the check-in point will result in disqualification. All fishing must cease upon check-in.
  12. LATE PENALTY - Teams that are not at the official check-in area at the appointed time will be penalized 1 pound per minute deducted from the total weight including any weight to be counted toward a big bass award. Any team more than 15 minutes late will lose credit for that day’s weight.
  13. LIVE FISH - Culling of dead bass is prohibited. Four ounces will be deducted from the total weight for each dead bass presented for weigh-in.
  14. SCORING - Only largemouth, spotted, and smallmouth bass may be weighed. The team limit will be 5 fish per boat 15 inches in length. Teams possessing more than the tournament limit will have their catch for that day disqualified. Bass presented for weigh-in that fail to measure the prescribed length limit will be penalized at the rate of 1 pound for each non-legal bass presented to the scales.
  15. TIES - All ties will be resolved by combining money/prizes and splitting equally among those who are tied.
  16. POLYGRAPH - Each team agrees to submit, by their signature on the official tournament entry form, to a polygraph examination and abide by its conclusion. Failure to pass the examination will result in disqualification.
  17. RULE CHANGES - These rules will remain unchanged during this event. Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the B.A.S.S. tournament director. Decisions of the tournament director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal.
